A regular's review put it plainly: the bar is small, so do not take a chance just walking in; there is nothing of this scale in the area. That is worth understanding before you plan a Saturday around it.
El Patio Escondido is the other end of the spectrum and honestly the more useful piece of the rotation. Family-owned and operated since 1974, with mom still doing the cooking, the restaurant runs live music on Tuesdays and Saturdays out of the cantina. These music events complement two other Grayson County concert series, Hot Summer Nights in Sherman on Thursday nights and Music on Main in Denison on Friday nights. These land intermittently through the season, and they turn the park into a kid-run economy for a few hours.
